What I learned:

In our latest book, I argue that there is no such thing as a “balanced” life.

It’s an illusion.

Just shifting priorities, seasons, events, and moments.

To make matters even more challenging, you don’t get a full say in which season you’re in.

Most of your life will unfold from forces far beyond your control, with the only choice you make being how you’ll react, interpret the event, and pivot with courage.

That’s it.

And the reality is that once the season is over, it’s over.

There isn’t a second shot.

In the best of times, there’s sadness that it’s fleeting, and in the worst, there’s joy that this too shall come to pass.

As a professional who gets overly-obsessed in a world of status, income, production, value, reach…..
